Johnnie Gabriel Cooking Demonstration: How to Throw a Simple Southern Dinner Party
The Sole Sisters had so much fun cooking with Sole Sister Paula Deen aka "Butter Cup", it’s time to cook with her cousin Sole Sister, Johnnie Gabriel aka “Cupcake".  Cupcake, known as the “Marietta Cake Lady”, has been on the Food network with Paula Deen, and also the Today Show . Johnnie has just released a Best Selling Cookbook, “Cooking in the South” which has over 150 delicious Southern Recipes from her award winning restaurant, Gabriel’s Desserts.
Johnnie shared her expertise and a few of her secrets through storytelling, cooking demonstration and audience participation on Saturday February 28th,at the Strand Theater in Marietta.

The Sole Sisters joined the Fox5 Atlanta- Good Day Atlanta crew.  The “High Heels” celebrated National Friendship Day with those “Foxy Ladies” Suchita & Cheryl.  You may view thisbroadcast at myfoxatlanta.com by searching for "The Sole Sisters" on their website and ClickHere for the pictures.


National Friendship Day   The Sole Sisters celebrated National Friendship Day by hosting a Girl's Night Out at Chicago's, Whitlock Ave , Marietta .  The fun included appetizers ,  a cash barand door prize drawings throughout the evening.  It was a "Shoe Riffic" evening!!  Visit our Upcoming Events page for information on future Girls' Night Out events. 

Razzle Dazzle Doggies , a  doggie boutique in Marietta hosted a ladies night  at  their   Whitlock Avenue shop in Marietta, GA.  The  Sole Sisters  brought   their “dog tired” feet to the event  and  participated  in  the evening's  special, a $10 foot massage!!.  More information about Razzle Dazzle Doggies can be  found  by visiting  www.razzledazzledoggies.com


“Purple Tea” …… a  focus on  women’s health   The Sole Sisters attended the  "Purple Tea" hosted by WellStar Healthcare Systems. The program focused on women health, fitness and well being. For additional information on Wellstar's women's health programs call 770-956-STAR.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T….. the musical !!  The Sole Sisters attended Respect the Musical at the 14th street Playhouse. The show received rave reviews was a must see !! Have a look at our Scrapbook page for pictures.

ACCENT Magazine Celebration
   The Sole Sisters, wearing RED shoes of course ,  helped to “paint the Town ACCENT Red " while attending the third anniversary celebration of Accent Gwinnett Magazine.  Congratulations Accent!! 

Fundraiser 
The Sole Sisters, along with  author /TV/ radio personality Robyn Spizman and local news anchor Tiffany Cochran, attended a fundraiser benefiting Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. The event featured a beautiful and brave young Sole named Anne . Anne, who lost a limb in a ragic car accident,  devotes her free time helping to raise funds for the prosthetics clinic. The theme for this inspiring event  was  a simple message  "If Anne Can...."

The “Big Shoe Bang” 2007   The Sole Sisters set sail on a Caribbean cruise aboard Royal Caribbean 's Sovereign of the Seas.  The daily program featured many Sole Sister  “Shoe Nanigans “!! The  highlight of this  Shoe Bang was a  trip to Blue Lagoon  for a “soul   touching “swim with dolphins. 

Gwinnett Women's Expo   Our "all things pink & leopard" booth was judged  Best in Show and worthy of a front page photo on  the Gwinnett Daily Post.  The High Heels shared   girl talk  with  Honorary Sole Sister and the Expo's featured celebrity, the  gracious and  absolutely gorgeous .......Meredith Baxter!!    The Oxygen  TV Network sponsored  "She  Did What".  This  event was to honor inspiring women... and our very own High Heel , Cheryl "Peach" Wagnon ,  was   selected as one of the top 10 finalists.  Congratulations "Peach"  you are  indeed Shoe Riffic!!

Nashville Road Trip  
The Sole Sisters donned their ‘”boots" and headed to Nashville..Their first order of business was to visit those outrageous Jugg sisters and take a ride on the BIG pink bus. The Nash Trash Tour is a hilarious "must do" tour of downtown Music City USA. Lunch was at  the legendary Jack's BBQ .Jack, an Honorary Sole Brother, and dear friend serves up the South's best BBQ !  It’s easy to find Jack’s just look for the landmark “flying pigs” over Broadway, DELISH !!  That evening The Sole Sisters enjoyed a Nashville tradition.....The Grand Ole Opry.  It was our "sole" pleasure  to present Honorary Charters to Opry headliners Gretchen Wilson (Red Neck Woman), Lorrie Morgan (Something in Red) and the one and only, Queen of country music,  Miss Loretta Lynn (Coal Miners Daughter).

Annual Membership Social   This was a wonderful event...we had so much fun!!! We hope that those of you who joined us had a great time as well. Our guests were able to hang out, enjoy refreshments, find out more about The Sole Sisters and gather information on how to start their own Chapters. How can you beat that?

Birthday in a Bag   Each year, The Sole Sisters donate 20 birthday parties in a bag to the local homeless shelter for distribution throughout the year to children’s parties. The bags contain all the makings for a party: cake mix, frosting, plates, cups, napkins, party favors and special gifts for the birthday boy or girl.

Savannah, GA  Those Sole Sister’s on the Go 2006 road trip was a fabulous 3 days inSavannah, Georgia.  Their agenda included touring Savannah’s haunts,  an evening ghost tour in a hearse , an afternoon tea at the Mulberry, dinner at the Lady & Sons restaurant,  and the highlight of the  trip… a cooking class with the one and only Paula Deen.  The Sole Sisters presented Paula with an honorary charter and    membership making her an official  “Shoe In “.  In Sole Sister tradition,  Paula was  given  a  “Sole Sister  Nickname”,  one that suits her best... “Butter Cup”.
